Terms
Plain terms for working together. The specifics of your project live in the quote you sign, and that quote wins wherever the two disagree.
Quotes and scope
Every project is quoted in writing before it starts, after we have spoken. The quote sets out what is included, what it costs, and roughly how long it takes. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it begins — nothing gets added to your bill without you agreeing to it first.
Payment
Projects start on a deposit, with the balance due on completion before the site goes live. Care plans are billed monthly and can be stopped at the end of any month.
Timelines
Dates are estimates made in good faith and depend on getting content and feedback from you. If things go quiet on your side, the timeline moves with it.
Revisions
Each project includes rounds of revision as set out in your quote. Beyond that, further changes are billed at the rate in the quote.
Ownership
Once the final invoice is paid, the design and content of your site are yours. Fonts, stock imagery, plugins and the Framer subscription remain licensed from their owners under their own terms, not mine to transfer.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that any text, images, or logos you supply are yours to use. If a claim arises from material you provided, that one sits with you.

Social & design retainer
Everything above covers project work. This part covers the monthly retainer — what the fee buys, what sits outside it, and what happens in a month that runs long.
What the fee covers
The retainer covers roughly ten hours of design work per calendar month, along with the scheduling and monthly reporting described on the services page. I do not run a stopwatch or bill in six-minute units. The hours are there so that we both know what the fee buys, not so that either of us has to count.
Two at a time
I work on two requests at a time. Send through as many as you like — they queue, and the next one starts as a slot opens. This is what keeps turnaround honest, because an open queue with one person behind it becomes a waiting list.
Turnaround
Most items come back within two working days of being started. Larger pieces take longer, and I will tell you so when the request comes in rather than once the date has passed.
When a month runs long
I will let you know as we approach the monthly allocation, and you decide what happens next: hold the remaining work until the new month, or carry on at R900 per hour. Additional hours are agreed in writing before that work starts. Nothing is billed as a surprise.
Unused hours
Unused hours do not roll over. The fee holds your slot and my availability rather than a bank of hours. If two quiet months in a row make the plan feel wrong, say so and we will pause it or resize it. I would rather do that than have you paying for something you are not using.
Revisions on retainer work
Three rounds of revision on each piece are included. Beyond that, or a change of direction after a piece has been approved, counts as a new request against the month.
What sits outside the retainer
Live events — quoted per event, because attending something is not design work
Video — quoted per video
Websites and full brand identities — quoted as projects
Printing, framing and installation — billed by whoever provides them
Advertising spend — paid by you, directly to the platform
Stock imagery and licensed fonts — billed at cost, agreed before purchase
How the arrangement runs
Month to month, with no minimum term
Billed on the 1st of the month, in advance
Either of us may stop it with 30 days’ notice
Work produced in a month is yours once that month is paid
Source files handed over on request
Rates are reviewed once a year, with 30 days’ notice of any change
If any part of this stops working for either of us, we change it. It is a working arrangement, not a trap.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
